"I feel like I have a climate tool kit now" - 2019 teen participant
Sea Change is excited to offer our signature teen trip in 2025. This trip will include all the traditional Sea Change activities: sailing and boat chores, kayaking, lake dipping, and hiking, exploring and studying the Lake Superior waters and coastline with rare plant data collection, water and clarity temperature studies, trolling for invasive species, and regular discussions about our changing climate. This course is open to all adventurous 14-18-year-olds with an interest in our natural environment and an openness to adventure. We will circumnavigate Isle Royale (the largest island archipelago in the largest lake in the world), a journey of 200+ miles while sailing, living, and learning aboard a 40-foot expedition sailboat, Amicus II.
Dates: June 16-25, 2025
Cost: $1,500 with a sliding scale, all teens are encouraged to apply regardless of ability to pay, scholarships available!. Trip departs and returns to Grand Marais, MN.
