"I feel like I have a climate tool kit now" - 2019 teen participant
Our youth trips integrate sail and liveaboard training with daily activities connected to climate change. Participants research their own projects, learn and observe scientific phenomena connected to Lake Superior, study plants, animals, and water, practice letter-writing to their local media and elected officials, set goals for themselves, analyze their own carbon use, and participate in many discussions about climate awareness, culture, and peer empowerment.
Dates: June 23rd to July 2, and July 3rd to July 12th, 2021.
Cost: $1,500 with a sliding scale, all teens are encouraged to apply regardless of ability to pay. Trip departs and returns to Grand Marais, MN.
